Our second annual North County Mini Maker Faire will be taking place in less than 4 months! There are few ways that you can participate in this year’s North County Mini Maker Faire.

  1. Volunteer! We are currently looking for volunteers. Please help us make the Faire possible by signing up for a volunteer slot today!
  2. Sign up to Exhibit! Call for Makers is now open! We want all makers to have an opportunity to participate.
  3. Attend the Faire! We know it’s Father’s Day weekend and you might not have the time to volunteer or work your booth, but that shouldn’t stop you from showing your fellow makers some support. Attend the Faire and maybe you will be inspired to showcase or volunteer next year. There will be over 200 tractors, steam engines, hands on activities like air rockets, and more! It’s a fun and educational event for the whole family!

Still not sure why you should participate in North County Mini Maker Faire?

We want you to know that our volunteers have been working hard to introduce a new attraction to our North County Mini Maker Faire this year: Cardboard Battlebots! Curious? You should be. We have teams secretly working on their battlebots made of cardboard, 3d printed parts, and will battle them at North County Mini Maker Faire for the first time ever! Thanks to a generous grant from Cognizant, students ages 8-16 will be able to sign up for free after school/summer programs to learn electronics, how to program, create 3d models, and use a laser cutter so they can make their own battlebots over the summer. Sign up for the camps will start on June 17th, at North County Mini Maker Faire. If you have kids, this is your best chance for them to enroll in the free summer camp!

If you want to learn more about making in San Diego, join our Meetup page and attend our events.
